Whitsunday Fishing Charter Business In Australia’s Top 7

By Ray White Whitsunday

Renegade Fishing Charters in the Whitsundays has been ranked one of the best day trip operators in the country.

The business, owned by Luke and Allira Griffiths, is listed among the nation’s top seven deep sea fishing experiences that feature on Tourism Australia’s website Australia.com.

“To be categorised as one of the top charters in Australia… is quite an achievement for me and my wife, who run the business, and our crew,” Mr Griffiths said.

The Griffiths purchased the company in April 2013 and expanded from operating only out of Hamilton Island to the Airlie Beach tourism market, which has enabled it to grow significantly in the past 12 months.

“Over the last year we’ve seen an increase in bookings of about 50%,” Mr Griffiths said.

The recognition would allow them to advertise on a global scale, to further grow their customer base, he said. Now they hope to grow their business further, with a possible expansion into the live-aboard market, which would result in doing multiple night trips to the reef.
