Imagine Living In The Whitsundays Rent Free

By Mark Beale

One man’s generosity will mean a family in need can live rent-free.

Marcel Hendrikson will rent out his property in Jubilee Pocket to a struggling family and is asking for just one thing in return – full maintenance of the house.

Ray White Whitsunday principal Mark Beale said the two-bedroom unfurnished home set on 1.2 hectares was the perfect home for a small family.

“The property is in need of some TLC and would best suit occupants who are handy with tools,” he said,

Mr Beale said the unique offer was a generous act on Mr Hendrikson’s behalf.

“He lives out of town and he wants to get into the community spirit and at the same time help a family out who are in need of accommodation,” he said.
