Whitsundays hits The Living Room

By Mark Beale

THE Whitsundays and some of its residents are set to feature on Channel Ten’s The Living Room tomorrow night, Friday, February 27.

In the show, presenter Dr Chris Brown road tests some of the Whitsundays’ icons and key experiences in an effort to discover if these postcard moments are ‘photoshopped’ or real.

WMDL Executive Director Jeff Aquilina said the organisation worked closely with Tourism and Events Queensland to attract the travel segment of the high profile television show to the Whitsundays and were looking forward to “the massive exposure it will bring the region on national TV”.

“Viewers from all over Australia will be wooed by the stunning natural beauty of the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef as Dr Chris Brown will re-live those typical postcard moments,” he said.

“We continuously try to find new outlets and ways to promote the region to Australians and The Living Room certainly provides immense exposure for our region and some of its key experiences.”

Dr Chris Brown and The Living Room crew filmed the episode here in October last year.

The show will air at 7.30pm.
