Crime scene revoked for shopping centre fire

POLICE have advised that the crime scene has been revoked at the Whitsunday Shopping Centre in Cannonvale following a fire that extensively damaged part of the complex on Sunday.

Island Drive will remain closed until about noon Wednesday and police will remain there while part of the complex is demolished for public safety.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined, however investigators are satisfied that there are no suspicious circumstances.
