$39 Flights To The Whitsundays With Jetstar Australia

The good news just keeps coming for The Whitsundays in the tourism industry’s road to recovery.

Jetstar Australia has just announced they are relaunching their route from Brisbane to the Whitsundays from the June 27 with three flights weekly arriving into the Whitsunday Coast Airport at an incredible relaunch price from only $39.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of Alliance Airlines yesterday revealing that they will commence flying four weekly return flights from Whitsunday Coast Airport to Brisbane from June 22.

Tourism Whitsundays Chief Executive Officer Tash Wheeler said The Whitsundays is on a high this week.

Whitsunday Regional Council Mayor Andrew Willcox said it was happy days for the Whitsundays and tourism stakeholders as the region is now well and truly open for business.

“Council and the team at Whitsunday Coast Airport have been working hard behind the scenes in negotiations with all airlines to reinstate flights to the region as soon as possible.

“We are committed to getting flights back into the Whitsunday Region and now having two airlines resuming flights so quickly will allow our tourism industry to kick start their recovery.”

The Whitsundays is a premier holiday destination in the Heart of the Great Barrier Reef and flights are an absolutely essential component to ensuring the region can recover from COVID19. Queenslanders have no excuse now but to have a Whitsundays holiday this winter.
