TICKETS are selling fast to this year’s Ray White Whitsunday Gala Ball at Capers on the Esplanade on Saturday, June 21.
There are some fantastic prizes to go under the hammer including accommodation packages to Qualia and Long Island, a helicopter flight, dinner vouchers, fitness memberships and personal training packages.
An expensive bottle of red wine in an exclusive hardwood timber casing is one of the most recent prizes to be listed for auction.
The wine, commemorating the 40th anniversary of China-Australia Diplomatic Relations, was donated by Chinese Australia Entrepreneurs Association Inc (CAEAI) president Raymond Wang during his recent visit to Airlie Beach to help raise money for the local community.
Ray White Whitsunday principal Mark Beale said all funds raised on the night would be donated to the Whitsunday Sports Park to upgrade spectator and sporting facilities.
“It’s going to be spectacular because we have booked out Capers and I Do Events will be transforming the venue into an extravagant casino complete with cash wheels, roulette tables, black jack and craps,” he said.
“Everyone will be given chips on entry but are welcome to stop off at the casino bank to buy more.”
Mr Beale said professional dealers would be flown in from Brisbane to enhance the casino experience for serious punters.
Ray White Whitsunday office manager Natalina Inglis said the gala ball was one of the only black tie events in the Whitsundays and urged locals to buy a ticket as more than half had already sold.
Tickets cost $90 per person and include champagne on arrival, canapés and a buffet dinner.
A VIP after party will be held at Fish D’Vine from 11pm.
Local businesses wanting to donate a prize or sponsor the event should contact Mark Beale on 0404 498 790 or email mark.beale@raywhite.com.
